Why is Google Chrome unable to download large files properly ?

I once downloaded a file that was 2.99GBs over GC and it ended up being corrupt.

I read on a site, within a forum thread that Google Chrome has issues weith downloading such large files.

Why is this ?

I had to download the file over IE to work correctly.|||Then you must also hate getting uncorrupted files...

J/K

I'd contact the site administrator. Maybe the file on their server is just corrupted or their having other issues that are stopping you from downloading the complete file.

Edit: DAP is an artifact from the 90's. Modern web browsers both accelerate and resume downloads now.|||I recommend you not to download such large files through browsers but instead you can download some softwares like Download Accelerator Plus(DAP), or Internet Download Manager (IDM).... They download bit faster and many files can be resumed even if we get some problem or even if we get disconnected...(i.e. it starts download from the same point where download was droken, no need to download again all files)|||Use Firefox, it's better.
