Want to download IE8 from Chrome but it won't let me. What can I do?

I try to download IE8 from Chrome but it won't activate the download. I have Windows 7.Want to download IE8 from Chrome but it won't let me. What can I do?
I think that you can go into your control panel and on Add and Remove Programs remove Chrome and IE8 will be restored, I tried Chrome but something that I use a lot was not included ( cant remember what it was) so I went back to IE8.Want to download IE8 from Chrome but it won't let me. Download it with internet explorer(recomended by MS). Because before dowloading Microsoft varifes users and system. If you're using Win7 than it is best for IE8 and IE9.Want to download IE8 from Chrome but it won't let me. What can I do?
Use whatever version of IE you have (you have SOME version of IE) to download 8.
Chrome is keeping you from making a terrible mistake.
