Essentially, Google Chrome OS is just a browser OS. Everything is done via the Google Chrome Browser. You info are store in the cloud, rarely is anything stored on your SSD.
You won't be able to use internet explorer.
The Chrome OS won't be like a normal windows laptop. It's lacking in a lot of department. It's almost like a tablet in laptop form.
