How do i download songs into my ipod chrome?

ok i have an ipod chrome or i think its called ipod nano 4th gen?


anyway!


how do i download songs???


i have limewire but do i need iTunes and Wat type(mpg,mp4,mp3)of songs can i download?


and i also want videos ..like movies


please try to explain this as if ur explaining it to a 3 year old(yes im an idiot!)

1. google youtube downloader and click the link that includes the word 'cnet' and download the file from there. Just click download when you get to the cnet page and it will automatically start downloading. When done and nothing happens, just go to the start menu and type in 'downloads' in the search box (thats if you have windows). Sometimes, some computers automatically take you to the setup (license and agreement/ terms and conditions, just check yes for all that) If it asks if you want to download any toolbars like Delio (don't because you won't use it and it takes up memory)


2. download iTunes if you already haven't done so. Again if nothing happens, just go to the start menu...(refer to above directions again)


3. Now open youtube downloader and minimize it, open itunes and minimize it, consecutively


4. go to youtube and find the video you want. go to the URL address at the top, right click, copy. Minimize that youtube window.


5. click the youtube downloader at the bottom where you previously minimized and paste the video's URL address where it says 'enter video URL' and make sure the first bullet is chosen 'download video from youtube', then click 'ok' and name your video or song


IT MIGHT TAKE ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO DOWNLOAD A SONG WITH A MINIMUM OF 3 MINUTES. After you click 'ok', it will show the percentage of the song that is being downloaded. When that window disappears, click on 'convert video' and and click on the three tiny dots next to the 'select video file' box and select the video you just downloaded


7. You want to convert the video (which is in mp4) to mp3 so where it says 'convert to', make sure it says 'MPEG Audio Layer 3 MP3'. If not, click the drop down box and select it


8. After that click 'ok' or 'convert', whatever appears there when you're ready to convert. You will see that it is converting from mp4 to mp3. If your internet connection is good, then it should take about 30-45 seconds.


9. When the converting is done, click on those three tiny dots again and find the SONG. For example, if you downloaded the video 'Fireflies', you will see another file that says 'Fireflies'. you want the mp3 version. put your cursor next to both of the files and whichever one says mp3, consider that but don't click anything yet!


10. open itunes at the bottom where you minimized it earlier. go back to that mp3 file and click and drag it into itunes music.


11. now, connect your iPod and wait for it to read into itunes. when it does you will see the name of your ipod under 'devices' in itunes.


12. click 'music' under itunes library and drag that song into your ipod. And there you have it!
