Is it necessary to download internet explorer 9 if you have windows 7 and also use google chrome?

i use windows 7 and google chrome but the IE9 came out last night and i don't know if i need to download it or not because i went on the microsoft website it read an article on it and it looks exactly like the IE on windows 7( i don't know which IE maybe you could help with that too)Is it necessary to download internet explorer 9 if you have windows 7 and also use google chrome?
You don't need to install it. Your Windows 7 would have came with IE8 and IE9 will simply replace it. Having said that IE9 is a good browser that runs at its best on Windows 7 so you might want to try it anyway.

But the reality is that lots of websites still require you to use Internet exporer and the IE9 interface is really new and cool and the benchmark results show that it's really fast. So just download and install it though you dont use it as it won't slow up your system( as it's a pre installed software and you are just gonna update). IE9 is integrated with Windows 7. When you install windows 7, IE9 is the default browser. If you do not want to use it , you uninstall and install other browsers, such as Firefox 4.0.

IE is really slow n' crappy so just use google chrome or mozzila firefox.
If you aren't using IE there is no need to keep it updated.
