How do I get google chrome to let me download links?

I got a message while trying to download something on the sims 3 and it asked if you want to do nothing or let application and I chose always do this for this type of application and then I accidentally clicked do nothing so I can't download anything and now I'm stuck so please helpHow do I get google chrome to let me download links?
